You will find Eye of Horus Gallery on the second floor above the Eye of Horus Metaphysical Store at 2717 Lyndale Avenue South in Minneapolis, MN. Street parking is free in the area around the store.
In the photograph, you can see a row of windows on the east side of the gallery allow abundant natural light, and a frosting applied to the windows permits privacy.
Opposite the windows, the western wall is recessed, providing a showcase area for featured mythic art, while maintaining the open flowing energy of the room. The vaulted ceiling gives additional vertical height to allow for a dynamic display of art.
Thanks to the vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors, the acoustics of the room are ideal for staving, drumming, chanting, storytelling, readings, and just about any type of non-amplified performance or ritual.
The room can comfortably hold about 13 adults in a circle, or a larger group can be seated in rows. The gallery has been used for both music and spoken-word performances to rave reviews, including hosting a CD-release party.
