Blue Moon in Libra, March 31, 2018

By Thraicie Hawkner

The dynamic, head-strong energy of this Aries Sun is at odds with the desire for diplomacy, brought by the Blue Moon in Libra. We want to take action and make things happen! But the position of this moon also strives to avoid conflict. Finding a productive balance may prove difficult.

Tigereye or Tiger Iron stones are recommended, as well as Blue Agate (or other throat chakra stones) to help us find effective words, rather than confrontational ones. Also, calming blue candles can be dressed with frankincense oil, chamomile oil, or clary sage oil. (Our “Peace” candle, from Coventry Creations, might also be an appropriate choice.) These oils, or the actual herbs along with salt, can be added to a bath for a ritual soak.

Focus on change you are trying to affect; clear your mind of other chatter and distraction. Envision the change already in place, as if it were the normal way of things. Feel the relief of this successful change, and breathe this sensation into your core. When you pull the plug, all blockage to this change will be drawn down the drain along with the cleansing water.

In addition to the Blue Moon, we also have a very strong conjunction between Mars and Saturn in Capricorn. The key words are “Strategy” and “Purpose.” This conjunction pairs well with the Blue Moon in Libra, which we just discussed. If we can stay focused on the goal, and stay on plan, success is assured.

Add to this the sextile between a Scorpio Jupiter, and a Capricorn Pluto, and you have some real magic! This is the combination that brings big social change (or a bold change to your role within that paradigm). This is the perfect time to focus on the world we want to live in, and the steps to get there, rather than regretting what has been.

New Moon in Aquarius – Feb 18th 2015

New Moon in Aquarius – Feb 18th 2015

This new moon is on the edge of Aquarius, and about to enter Pisces. Aquarius New Moon ImageSo this new moon is about the sense of transition at a key moment of history.

In this Aquarius New Moon Video, Eye of Horus Astrologer Heather Roan Robbins talks with Thraicie about the power and responsibility of speech and the Word. She also provides a heads up for the quick transition (11 minutes or so after the New Moon) into Aries, and all the planets getting into that sign.

Thraicie, our founder and on heckuva Tarot Reader, brings all of this down to earth, literally into the plants and dirt which correspond to all of this astrological action. Check out the video below where she lets gives you some tips on choosing incense and herbs for dream work and tumbled stones to strengthen the throat chakra, which is the center of speech.

Aquarius only lasts a few minutes, so do your dreaming and visioning while you can. First, the moon goes into Pisces, then it’s a bit of a whirlwind as on Feb 19th, Mars & Venus (Man/Woman) come together in Pisces for a one night stand and then Mars enters Aries on the 19th, Venus follows, entering Aries on the 20th. All of this male and female action in Aries means we’re looking at a kick-butt spring time about to emerge.

Take advantage of this new moon. It is our last moment to determine the vision before Aries takes over and demands action. Remember the old saying, “A vision without action is a dream, action without vision is a nightmare.” When you have both vision and action, you get transformation or creation.

Quick tip: Wear or meditate with Amethyst and Fluorite for bringing forth the positive intentions and true will and to avoid falling into negative patterns or external dictates. For more, watch the video!

Grand Sextile – Magic Window

Grand Sextile – Magic Window

When planets align at a 120 degree angle, they form a trine.  When three form, you form a triangle, or a Grand Trine. Jupiter, Saturn, & Neptune are still forming their Grand-Trine in Water, which is scheduled to last well into August.  All three are relatively slow-moving planets, so this aspect will continue its affect for quite a while.  They are each positioned in one of the water signs, so the emotional tides of the whole world are experiencing the benefits of this harmony.  One astrologer referred to the effect as “The end of hope, and the beginning of truth.  A great awakening.”

So what’s all this talk about a Grand Sextile?  Well… Venus and Pluto have been trine to each-other for a little while, now.  But on Monday, July 29th, the Moon will move into position in Taurus, to form a Grand Trine. All three in the earth-signs.  The Grand-Trine in Water is joined by a Grand-Trine in Earth. Both earth and water are feminine, so the result is a Feminine Grand Sextile, pictured below in gold… [Read more…]
