July 31st – Full Blue Moon in Aquarius

The full moon in Aquarius on July 31 will be the second full moon this month. Whenever we have a second full moon in a month we refer to it as a blue moon. What’s so special about this full moon? Watch the video with astrologer Heather Roan Robbins and High Priestess Thraicie Hawkner below, then read read the rest of the article to get the details on the astrological influences and magical possibilities:

With the sun in Leo, this will be a party moon. There will be a great deal of energy around our non-romantic relationships. The full moon in Aqaurius lends itself to a more philosophical outlook, especially in group settings. It’s important during the moon to pay particular attention to working relationships, whether they be professional or magical. Be sure to honor your own accomplishments and acknowledge the efforts of your group or circle. Be mindful of Leo’s tendency to bask in the spotlight; make sure you are accepting credit and giving it were it is due. Watch out for Leo’s shadow aspect and make sure you are not overlooking the efforts of your support groups. Use your charisma to promote the group’s efforts and growth.

Venus is traveling back and forth in Leo before she meets up and runs conjunct with Jupiter for the rest of the summer. Mars is still in Cancer, so we will still want to be sensitive and want to protect our vulnerabilities. Now is not the time to exert your will on others, so respect their boundaries. Invite others to participate, but do not insist or make participation mandatory. If you are having problems getting perspective on stubborn or persistent issues, the full moon in Aquarius is a great opportunity to expand your scope and get a wider view of the issue.

To fully harness the magical possibilities of this full moon, surround yourself with sunny or fiery colors like yellow, gold, and orange to help anchor yourself. Tiger eye is a great gemstone to aid in your endeavors, as well. Frankensence oil and insense will help with instilling a sense of self awareness and provide a strong sense of center.

The alliances we build now with full moon in Aquarius will serve us well when the sun heads back into Virgo at the end of August and into September. This will be a busy and productive fall. Our alliances and the shared vision we create together this summer will help us move forward with projects this fall.

July 15th – New Moon in Cancer

July 15th – New Moon in Cancer

New Moons are a chance at a new beginning, and the New Moon in Cancer is a chance to begin feeling more at home in our lives, our bodies, and our worlds. This New Moon coincides with the revealing of the clearest and closest pictures we’ve ever seen of Pluto, a planet whose opposition figures heavily into the energies surrounding this New Moon. Pluto’s opposition can seed self-doubt, but the New Moon gives us a chance to take those thoughts and turn it into energy to fuel self-improvement and to confront our anxieties.

Astrologer Heather Roan Robbins and High Priestess Thraicie Hawkner discuss in detail the particular energies of this New Moon and how to harness them to help you on your own journey and that of your loved ones. Don’t forget: we’re all in this together!

Check out the latest new moon video below, and then read the rest of the article to get the details on the astrological influences and magical possibilities:

With Pluto in opposition during this New Moon, we need to remember keep our homes safe, secure, and happy. Remember that change comes from within, and now is the time to plant the seeds of our personal growth. Don’t let self-doubt take hold and dissuade you from embarking on the changes you want and need.

This can also lead us to confront the darker parts of ourselves, including our fears and our anxieties. We can access these energies in a safe and positive way with the support of our friends, family, and communities. Don’t shut them out; let them help you nourish your roots, and then be sure to be there for them in turn.

As Jupiter and Venus travel through Leo and back again this summer, remember to consciously work at enriching your life and relationships.  As these two bright stars travel, they bring up an abundance of emotion. Share your emotion and your bounty with your loved ones. Give the gift of your presence and your abundance in life so that everyone can grow stronger.

Saturn will square Jupiter and Venus as they enter Leo, and this can causes imbalances in our relationships and professional lives. You may feel an increase in demands at work or feel the bonds of your relationships tested. Use this time to create or deepen your discipline in your art or your work, and note your responsibilities.

Mars is approaching square to Uranus, and this can bring a lot of fiery, passionate energy. Be mindful of your reactions, and don’t let your temper take hold. Particularly sensitive people may become more guarded and apprehensive, so be respectful of those sensitivities. Soothe yourself with meditation, aromatherapy, or deep breathing. Delay your reactions and give things time to process. Now is not the time to make impulsive, rash decisions.

This is a great time for re-invention and re-creation. This New Moon is particularly fertile, so make sure you plant your seed and nurture them well.

June 2nd – Full Moon in Sagittarius

June 2nd – Full Moon in Sagittarius

Full Strawberry  Moon 11º Sagittarius Tuesday, June 2 at 11:19am Central time.

This full moon is also known as the Corn-Planting moon. Europeans called it the Rose Moon. Pagans may refer to it as the mead moon or the honey moon (which is particularly appropriate for one month after Beltaine). It is also called the Thunder Moon for this often stormy time, and with Mercury Retrograde, it fits.

Astrologer Heather Roan Robbins and High Priestess Thraicie Hawkner go into details of why we may feel more irritated, prone to accidents, and need some extra grounding. Mercury is in retrograde and due to various aspects it is particularly powerful. But there are unique opportunities, too!

Check out the latest full moon video below, and then read the rest of the article to get the details on the astrological influences and magical possibilities.

Mercury Retrograde through June 11th

This is an unusual Mercury Retrograde because Mercury is in Gemini, it’s own sign and it is square Neptune on the full moon, and will Square Neptune on the Summer Solstice.

So we want to talk, we want to share. We are in output mode with Mercury the messenger being so powerful right now. But, since Mercury is retrograde it is a time which is rife with errors in communication, so double check what you are hearing and saying. Think twice, and wait five seconds before blurting things out.

This is also a very magical time when our intuition rises and expands, but so is our imagination. The trick is to discern the difference between the two. Be very careful about reading the answers, take the time to double-check. Here are some energetic tools to help at this time.

Organic Van Van Oil helps with mercury retrograde or any time you need a boost of good luck energy

Organic Van Van Oil

  • Prehnite is a stone which will help filter out confusion and clarify any messages you are receiving.
  • VanVan Oil and Van Van Spray – tuned to Mercury, it helps with communications and general smoothing the way and turning bad luck to good and good luck better
  • Lemongrass herb – This is one of the ingredients of Van Van oil, and can be used in a sachet, or it is also often used in Asian cooking.

The Sun, Mercury and Mars are all coming close together and really charging up that impetus to shine a light and communicate, but don’t let Mars make a fight out of something which doesn’t need to be. You need to rein in that martial energy when it intrudes inappropriately.

Full Moon in Sagittarius

There is no grounding supported from the Stars for this full moon. None of the planets other than Pluto are in an earth sign, and Pluto is so far away, it won’t be of much help to keep you centered and on firm footing. You need to choose to bring the element of earth into your practice or ritual for this full moon.

One great way to get grounded is to literally work with earth by gardening, or you could taking off your shoes and putting your feet on the ground (or grass). You can also take a bit of earth with you by carrying or wearing some Hematite.

Just after it turns full, the moon trines Jupiter and Uranus later that night and opens up possibilities. So it is a perfect time to cut ties with the old and move forward. Let go of an old love, a bad habit, a situation that didn’t work. It’s about releasing old paths and dropping old baggage off and stepping into tomorrow lighter and ready for new opportunities and relationships.
