Our forum and online store are being completely re-designed and rebuilt. This will not cause any delay for outstanding orders, though if you were planning a purchase, we apologize for the inconvenience. We expect the new online store to launch in November, with the forum following online by the end of the year.
Although the online store was less than a year old, we decided it was time for an overhaul. Some of you may have noticed extended down-time periods on the eyeofhorus.biz site, and by consolidating our hosting to the same folks who host our original eyeofhorusinc.com site, we have service guarantees we can count on. We are also taking the opportunity to give the store a face-lift, and more features.

Anita Collodoro leads this 8-session course devoted to learning the Tarot system of divination. The cost is $25.00 per session. Please register in advance, if possible, so we know how many hand-outs to prepare. Anita recommends the Rider-Waite deck, and “Easy Tarot Guide” by Marcia Masino.
Saturnday, 10/30/2004, 3pm – 4pm = Jane Yolen
Jane Yolen is author and editor of a g’zillion books for children, adults, and everyone in between. She will be joining us for a bit of storytelling on Saturday afternoon. Costumes are welcome! Book signing will begin around 4pm, after the stories.

Sunday marks the first anniversary of The Little Shoppe of Horus. We will be celebrating the store’s birthday with 15% off incense.
Sunday, 10/31/2004, 5pm – ? = The “Lady Poetesses From Hell” are a troup of local poets who have been shocking and delighting audiences at science fiction conventions for years. They will gather for tea and reading at 5pm. Denise Garner, one of the featured artists of the Fairy Tale Show will be serving the tea. Please join us in the gallery for poetry… some of which is decidedly un-lady-like!
After the reading and tea, we plan to continue to celebrate and socialize. Just like a real party. Only in a store.

We are honored to have Beth Hansen, Denise Garner, & Walter Napiorkowski as our featured artists for the 2004 autumn gallery show. This exhibit will include art of the Fairy realms. We are also planning story telling weekend at the end of October, and look forward to seeing you!

This is a beginner’s level workshop, lead by Su Walker. Cost = $65 per student. Please register in advance, so we can ensure a seat for everyone. There is a 20-student maximum for this course.
Friday 12/11/2004, 7pm – 11pm = Workshop: “An Introduction to Shamanic Healing” by Daniel and Jenni Lupinski
This instroductory workshop will connect you with traditional/tribal shamanic practices. You will experience journeying into the Lower, Middle, and Upper Worlds to connect with power (totem) animal/s and spirit teachers for purposes of self empowerment, divination, and performing and experiencing shamanic healing. You will learn how ritual is an integral part of all shamanic healing and how it can be used to appropriately combine elements such as extraction, soul retrieval, and depossession to achieve magical results. You will have the opportunity to connect with your own spirit and soul in a way to see more clearly your unique path and healing yet to be realized. We will also take a look at familial possession(possession by mother, father, grandparents, etc.) and how it controls us and what can be done to release it and reclaim lost soul parts.
Please bring drums & rattles(if you have them), a cushion/blanket, or any other spiritual tools/objects of importance.
Cost $40 (or $150 for both days. $135 for advanced registration prior to 12/1/2004.)
Saturday 12/12/2004, 10am – 6pm = “Advanced Shamanic Healing”, by Daniel & Jenni Lupinski.
This advanced class is only for people who have taken yesterday’s introduction class or have studied with us previously. We will explore shamanic healing and ritual in greater detail focusing on working with power animals and shaman spirit teachers to conduct healing ritual ceremonies. This is geared towards performing shamanic healing on others, as well as the importance of your own healing. This class will focus on doing diagnostic work on another person and seeing shamanically with the intent of orchestrating ritual in a very traditional way. All aspects such as illness intrusions, soul loss, and possession with be addressed as well as the importance of working with another shaman to remain clear of intrusions and possessions when performing ritual. It will also give you the opportunity to connect more closely to your own spirit and soul work allowing you to see your life’s path more clearly. This class is very important for those who do or intend to do shaman work or for those just wanting to experience very traditional shamanic healing. Please bring drums & rattles(if you have them), a cushion/blanket, or any other spiritual tools/objects of importance.

Handmade boxes from Poland. Okay, so they aren’t locally made. But they are incredible hand-painted/carved designs and we were thrilled with the quality. They are made from Linden wood which is harvested and re-planted.
There are locking boxes, incense boxes, tarot boxes, in a dozen different designs. Images of the samples we got in are all up and down the left side of the page. We also like the company. It’s a bunch of bohemians who figured out a cool way to make a living and give people something with both symbology and utility. A meaningful way to make a living. Their motto is “We Dream, therefore we Are” Yeah, man. We dig that. Prices range from around $13 to $35.

Costen
Well Being is made from the root of the Costus tree, a valued herb in Ayurvedic preparations, and is formulated with honey. The smoke has an overall soothing effect on the nerves and enhances the sense of well-being in the body.
Kasturi
Aspiration comes from the fruit of the manjal tree in India and has musk-like fragrance. The smoke is traditionally used as therapy for depression and to keep aspiration in the mind.
Loban
Sanctity is a fragrant resin from a type of pine tree. Crystals of Loban are burnt in temples all over India for the holy, sanctified atmosphere the smoke creates.
Mattipal
Peace comes from the fragrant sap of the Peepal tree, known as the “Bodhi” Tree because the Buddha achieved realization while seated in meditation beneath it. The fragrant smoke creates a soothing and deeply peaceful atmosphere.
Resin
Concentration comes from the fragrant sap of an Indian tree whose resinous crystals, according to Ayurvedic practice, are burnt to increase the power of concentration, to create a spiritual atmosphere, and repel bad spirits.
Sambrani
Serenity also known as Yellow Resin, comes from the fragrant sap of the Sal Tree and has been used in spiritual ceremonies since ancient times. Its smoke creates a soothing atmosphere of calm serenity.
Sandalwood
Purity has been treasured since antiquity for its exquisite fragrance and purifying properties. In Ayurveda, it is used to cool the nervous system, ease anxiety, and has the potent attribute of purifying the vital being (life-force) and atmosphere.
Triphala
Rejuvenation, translated as “3 fruits” in Sanskrit, Triphala is a well-known Ayurvedic rejuvenative compound prized for its harmonizing effect on the 3 doshas. Of the 3 ingredients: Haritaki is rejuvenative for Vats dosha, Amalaki for Pitta dosha and Bibitaki for kapha dosha.
