Eye of Horus Ritual Incense Blend by Catamara Rosarium

Eye of Horus Incense and Oil

Rosarium Blends makes their own ritual incense blends, essential oil blends, and natural perfumes using the finest herbs, woods, resins and essential oils. All formulations are original recipes and the result of extensive historical research, practical experimentation and magical studies. Each incense is blended and charged during specific lunar phases, astrological transits, and correspondences. Thus formulated with intention to enhance the charm’s potency, enliven the senses, and increase the heightened awareness they are designed to awaken. This is traditional incense, which is burned on a charcoal tablet in a censer for group ritual or individual devotionals or meditation.

We were so impressed with some samples we received a couple of years ago, that we had Catamara create our signature incense blend for Eye of Horus, based on the mythic parts of our symbol, the Eye of Horus, the “moon” Eye.

Catamara Rosarium is the sole proprietor of Rosarium Blends. She is a Master Herbalist, Alchemist and Ritual Artist. But that’s just the short version.

In her own words… excerpts from Interview with an Alchemist

The inspiration for my blends primarily comes from individual magickal workings where I have felt inspired to create devotional or magickal charms to work with during these rites. I have worked with each one extensively; therefore the egregore of each charm is quite strong.

Each of my blends are magickal charms. They work on the subtle plain even when worn or burned without intention. If worked with intention the possibilities one experiences working with them is indeed limitless.

Not only are my charms potent and powerful, they also smell intoxicating! I am providing the key to unlock/open portals to the divine, it’s up to the practitioner to determine how they wish to utilize this.

Not surprisingly, her signature blend is all about the Alchemy…

  • The Rosarium Incense represents the Alchemy of aligning heart, mind and spirit. The complex Labyrinth of the heart – The Great Work. Featuring Damascus Rose, Black Storax and Rose Petals.

And of course, there is the Eye of Horus Ritual Incense Blend,

A few years ago, we asked her to formulate a special blend which would embody the energies of the traditional Eye of Horus Protection amulet as well as the six senses that each part of the eye represents in the hieroglyphic mythology.

In addition to those signature blends, devotees of various goddesses will find incense blends to invoke or to use as an offering.

  • Aphrodite – The Goddess of Love, Beauty, Fertility, Prosperity, Attraction and Sexual Rapture awaits your offering. She is Venus, the morning star. In love or in lust, burn this incense to open your heart and invoke the power of this goddess.
  • Kali – Tantric Goddess. Remover of Illusion, transcendent and beyond All Maya. Burn as an offering, or to to tap into the all embracing nature of this fierce Goddess.
  • Sekhmet – Egyptian lion-headed goddess of the noon-time sun. She is a fierce and passionate warrior and protectress. Burn in ritual or meditation. At Eye of Horus, this is our favorite Rosarium Blend to strengthen community and/or fight for social justice.

Clear & Bless: If you are dedicating a new sacred space or home, or if you are just re-sanctifying a space, the Ceremony incense blend merges traditional herbs of north and south America ~ Copal, Palo Santo, Wester Red Cedar, Lavender, Sage and Mapacho.

New Beginnings: The Phoenix incense blend is the Firebird of rebirth and awakening, discovering and nurturing True Will, and is used to transmute old patterns or behaviors into new and desirable ways of being or doing. Even Ovid spoke of the the three ingredients of this blend in association with the Phoenix: Myrrh, Cinnamon and Spikenard.

Mystic Ventures: Pirowica incense blend is the goto mojo for new businesses, ventures, projects – whatever you need to manifest. The Ardent Daemon of Enterprise, Pirowica, is waiting to help with inspiration and with helping you have to fortitude to bring ideas into tangible form. Pirowica is a god form (daemon) that was created and manifested for a friend of Catamara when she was working on the development of becoming an independent business owner. The unusual name name is an acronym of 8 words that were attributes she wanted this to embody: Perfection, Integrity, Respect, Originality, Wit, Individual, Clout, and Allure.

Go Beyond the Veil: Summoning Spirits is a conjuration incense used for evoking spirits. Burn to summon spirits to assist in conjure work or divination. This is a great blend for Samhain, or any time you need to reach beyond. Includes Opoponax, Basil, Rosemary, Life Everlasting, Dittany of Crete & Damiana.

Witch Moon – Let’s face it, she calls us and we honor her throughout all of her phases. Witch Moon Incense is all about aligning with lunar sensuality, opening your psychic centers, and helping you illuminate your wisdom and power up your magick. Frankincense, Camphor, Wormwood, Jasmine, Karraya, Willow, Mugwort and Sandalwood.

“These are not blends for the seeker of the cosmetic, but the cosmic. Several contain some rather shamanic plants and should used with care and intent. That is what brings them their mystery, they are not created for the everyday but for sacred work and exploration.

These are not what you find in just any occult book store. These are what you find at the midwife’s cottage at the edge of the wood, or in the chamber of the Alchemist’s soror.”
