Sparking Empathy: Full Moon in Libra and Spring Equinox

Share this:

The full moon occurs in Libra on Wednesday, March 20 (8:42 pm, CDT). The Spring Equinox precedes the full moon hours before (4:58 pm, CDT). Daylight and nighttime are equal. The hibernation of winter ends while springing into longer and lighter days! The sun in Aries interfaces with moon in Libra, sparking a newness of approach in relationships.

The Mercury retrograde in Pisces, March 5 through March 28, called for a dip backwards into the past. This psychedelic retrograde was full of twists and turns, casting a fishing line deep into the ocean. As the end of the retrograde nears, it becomes clearer what the catch is. What can be saved and what can be discarded? Will it be a mermaid, flailing to free herself? Will it be a tin can or an old shoe? A combination of inane and valuable items, with a precious discovery on the side, may be fished out of the watery depths!

The strong Pisces signature taps into empathy and caring for fellow beings, human and animal. Discoveries made in March call for kindness toward one another. By the time the full moon blossoms on March 20, alternative perspectives witnessed may alter judgmental and callous attitudes. More sensitivity may be integrated into how we relate, encompassing all types of relationships: personal, romantic, familial, business, work-related and most notably, the relationship to strangers.

The earth element emphasis plus Mercury retrograde foster an environment for planning methodically and slowly, using dreams and intuition as a guide. Insights are gained in unorthodox ways; not in the linear and logical manner. Mercury goes direct March 28, and the fogginess of the last few weeks gradually lifts. May this full moon and Equinox be a transformative time!
