With beautiful images by Will Worthington, The WildWood Tarot can be used as a meditation system, a card oracle,  a Tarot Deck, or as a well-source of profound spiritual knowledge. Guidebook

A 160 page guide book covers the individual meanings of the cards, as well as insights from the lore this deck is based on. From the Green Man and Woman, Archer, and Blasted Oak, authors Mark Ryan and John Matthews introduce forest archetypes based in the seasonal rhythms and festivals of the ancient year. Step back in time to better understand where your life’s path may lead. There is also a complete bibliography to take you deeper into your studies.

This is a 78 card Tarot deck, but the names, suits and meanings of the cards make it very friendly to those who prefer to use oracle decks.  The Four Suits are: Arrows, Bows, Stones and Vessels. Each card has it’s name as well as a meaning on the bottom. The Major Arcana are numbered and labeled at the bottom. All the standard names from the Rider Tarot have been changed on these cards.

Sacred Smudge Spray

Sacred Smudge Spray

Have you ever wanted to smudge your car, your office, or other non-smoking environments? How about your hotel room when you are traveling?  Let’s face it–we can’t always light a smudge wand on fire. Smoke is simply not allowed or wanted in some locations, and for some people, such as those with asthma or allergies, smoke is unhealthy.

Sacred Smudge Spray - Sage, Cedar and Palo Santo Essential OilSacred smudge spray is the smokeless, pure alternative to burning sage. Whether you need to change the energy or just lighten the air, just one spritz and the wonderful aroma of this spray creates a clean and blessed atmosphere. This quick and easy smudge spray uses only a traditional plant blend of sage, cedar and palo santo true essential oils for energy cleansing and ritual use.

These three traditional plants are carefully blended in this refreshing and fragrant smudge spray to disperse the same natural plant energy used throughout the ages in cleansing ceremonies. In fact, shamans and other traditional healers speak with respect of the spirit of each healing plant. These plant spirits provided our teacher-ancestors with the powerful medicine of smudging and have traditionally been our energetic allies. When we create our smudge spray, we do bless it with Reiki Energy, to make sure all the energies are clear, but we do not change the spray smudge with any other energies or add anything from other belief systems which could dilute, divert or in any way interfere with the pure spirit of the smudge.

Sage + Cedar + Palo Santo = Pure Plant Power

Our sacred smudge spray uses only true essential oils of these three traditional smudge plants in a spray bottle of ‘liquid smudge’ for you to use anywhere or anytime smoke is inconvenient. Here are the traditional properties of the essential oils blended in our sacred smudge spray mist:

  • Palo Santo is considered sacred by many native peoples of South America. It is said to purify and clear objects, places, and people.  Only tree branches that have fallen naturally to the ground are used for the distillation of this oil.  No trees are cut to produce the Palo Santo Essential Oil in this smudge spray.
  • Sage  is used worldwide in traditional energy-cleansing ceremonies–the sage essence attaches to negative energy and folds it back in itself to transform the negative energy into positive energy. Some say sage summons courage, wards off jealousy, increases mental acuity, and attracts prosperity. Our spray uses Organic Sage Essential Oil.
  • Cedar is often used in the sweat lodge (and in the Scandinavian equivalent–the Sauna). The scent of cedar attracts good spirits and eliminates negative energies. Native Americans put boughs of the white cedar on tepee poles, believing that it would ward off lightning.

Locally Crafted to be Naturally Pure

We respect the purity of native traditions. Nothing is added from crystals or holy water from various cultures, etc. This is absolutely the purest smudge spray we could create. It may be in a brown bottle, but our smokeless smudge spray is totally green.  In fact, it is:

  • Vegan
  • Uses only the highest-quality ingredients (no artificial fragrance oils)
  • Cruelty Free (never tested on animals)
  • Environmentally Friendly
  • Made in Minnesota

Wendy Rule with Kari Tauring at the Capri

Australian Visionary . . .

Australian Visionary . . .

This was an amazing concert we sponsored in 2009 – check out the recording of Kari Tauring’s performance – Live at the Capri!

Northside Arts Collective (NAC) and Eye of Horus Metaphysical present Australian Wendy Rule with cellist Rachel Samuel and Kari Tauring with Huldre for a mystical night at the recently renovated Historic Capri Theater in North Minneapolis. This is the first of the twelve part “Great Streets Concert Series” held at the Capri, sponsored through a Great Streets grant from the City of Minneapolis’ Department of Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED).

Presented by Northside Arts Collective & Eye of Horus. Tickets are $15 and available at OvationTix or by calling 866-811-4111. Eye of Horus, 2717 Lyndale Ave S. is also selling premium seat tickets in the first three rows.  Call 612-872-1292 to check availability.

Australian visionary songstress Wendy Rule will bring her stirring and sensual dark cabaret to Minneapolis for one night only on Thursday September 17.   Renowned for years amongst the world’s alternative spiritual communities, Wendy is now deservedly gaining a much broader following. She is about to embark on her 12th international tour. This will be a rare opportunity to experience one of Australia’s most enigmatic and prolific artists.

“Dark, sensual, sonic theatre…compelling stuff” – Rolling Stone Australia

Fiercely independent, Wendy has managed to carve a unique path through the musical mainstream, and has emerged with seven major albums and a string of side projects to her name.  Her live performances demonstrate a passionate union of her incredible voice – moving from soaring heights to intimate whispers – and her beautifully dark and visionary lyrics, the album is strong, Earthy and Shamanic.  More than music, Rule weaves ritual and story into a net that continues to draw an ever-growing audience into her otherworldy realm.

“Every so often Melbourne throws up a singular talent, someone previously hidden amongst the well-established musical tribes, someone possessed of a unique vision. Wendy Rule, the vocalist, songwriter and visionary behind this remarkable album, is such an artist.” – Beat Magazine, Melbourne

KariHuldre-duo-2009-0815-thumbOpening the evening will be Kari Tauring and Huldre — tonight a duo with Drew Miller of Boiled In Lead. Kari sings and tells stories from our deep Scandinavian tap root. Waving her antler feather fan, she conjures ancient spirits that hover and dance around her classically trained voice. The bone beads of her Bronze Age string skirt punctuate rune songs danced to the pols (pulse) of staff and melodic dulcimer.

Author of “The Runes: A Human Journey” (2007), Tauring’s performances draw on 20 years of research and experience. Her EP “Völva Songs” (2008) includes songs in Votic, Old Norse, Norwegian and English — in performance, her music is both sweet as a lullaby and frightening as a Valkyrie; both intensely emotional and thoroughly researched. She wakes something from deep in our bones, something simultaneously ephemeral and elemental.

Kari teaches Volva staving at Eye of Horus on the second Saturday of every month. This performance is an opportunity to see the depth and power of the use of stav in performance.

“Her shows educate as well as inspire” – David de Young, howwastheshow.com
