We’ve got a lot going on here at the Eye of Horus lately. We’re always trying to come up with new ways to help you get magic into your life or ways to offer more service and specialty to your shopping trip. This week, we’ve got a trio of exciting prospects to present to you. Take a look at what we’ve got going on!
First, we’d like to welcome back Brian Roberts back to our in-person reading staff! Brian has over 10 years of experience in tarot, and his specialty is combining tarot and palm readings for a unique divinatory experience. Brian also reads exclusively with the Deviant Moon Tarot, a deck that’s full of hauntingly beautiful imagery that’s perfect for this time of year.
Brian will be available on Thursdays and Fridays from 3 pm to 6 pm. All in-person readings will be limited to 15 minutes, and only one person will be able to sit with the reader at once. Masks will be required. You can either sign up online through our website or by calling the store at 612-872-1292. Brian’s time is limited, so schedule your time today!
Next, the Eye is proud to present our latest creations for helping you get your mojo working: Intention Kits! We’ve crafted kits for several magical purposes, designed to help get your magic and spellwork going as quickly and easily as possible. Each kit contains an appropriately-colored candle with holder, a gemstone, an herb or curio, and a small bottle of one of Eye of Horus’ purpose oil blends. It’s all you need for some quick magical working.
We have kits for Prosperity, Protection, and Passion ready to go both in the store and online. But on top of that, we currently have Samhain sabbat kits as an in-store exclusive (we’ll also have Yule kits available soon). These sabbat kits are a very limited batch, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. So head on down to the Eye to make sure you claim yours!
Finally, ’tis the season for all things spooky, a time to share chilling tales and scary stories. What a perfect time for the Eye of Horus to introduce the latest addition to our tarot deck selection, the Edgar Allan Poe Tarot by Rose Wright. Just in time for Halloween, this deck is full of gorgeous imagery by illustrator Eugene Smith. The visuals are both gothic and fantastical, with scenes as striking and haunting as Poe’s writing. It’s a perfect marriage of Poe’s distinct style and the symbols of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, with the deck staying loyal to both of those elements equally.
The accompanying book contains passages showing how each card relates to one of Poe’s stories or to the subjects and people that dominated his life. It also contains several Poe-themed tarot spreads unique to this deck. A great deck for beginners and experts alike, honor this icon of mystery and the macabre by bringing this deck home today!
